my bathroom marble floor tile wasn’t put in too well. and there are areas where the tile is not even, i’ve had a few contractors come in and spoke to a few marble specialists about grinding the marble down a little bit so it is smooth.
i’m hearing difeerent opinions, some say they never heard of it and some are charging astronomical amounts to do it.
any ideas?
thanks

  1. If you hire a stone specialist they have special tools & machines. The job is messy & the good guys are expensive but it is definitely possible I had 1000 square feet of limestone done this way to make the floor perfectly smooth cost $3 per sq. foot though 6 years ago.

  2. When I did my floor my dog walked on the tiles and raised a few of the corners about 1/8-1/4 of an inch. I just used my power sander to ease of the corners and then used finer and finer grit until I was using wet polishing grit. It came out great. So there has got to be a real professional out there who can do the same thing….if I can do it.
