AC Cleaning/Storage
I was wondering if anyone has used those services that remove your window a/c units, clean and store them for the winter then install them the following spring. I saw something about it on NY1 and it seems like an interesting concept; just wondered if anyone has used such a service and could recommend one….

thanks for the feedback…is Shivani the same as AirWave? I couldnt find Shivani online, will look in the phonebook..I did call AirWave, they are $259 each…seems high. If you have contact info for Shivani please let me know. thanks!
We have used AirWave for the last few years with great success. Best part is the install and removal of our over sized unit from the fourth floor…def. worth the price!

I also use J & R, as I am also in Park Slope:

I use J&R on 7th Avenue in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Their fees are about the same as the poster above. They also do a great job – caulk and install, etc.
We have used Shivani for years. (Not sure of their number, but they’re probably in the phone book.) They are great, and do a nice installation job (with plexiglass, caulk, etc.). Shivani (and similar services) is not cheap, however. I think it is about $175 per unit. We have them store only our biggest two (the other two fit in a closet), but for a small additional fee they install all four of our a/cs.
