Exposed Steam Pipes
We have three exposed steam pipes in our apartment that I’d like to childproof/make more attractive. In the archives, I see that people have recommended wrapping pipes with rope. Do you need to use glue or anything to afix the rope? Any other ideas and/or people who might be able to help me with this?

I’ve also seen a bamboo sleeve used to cover a steam pipe.
Did you make the “radiator covers” yourself or did you have someone do them for you?
We enclosed the one in the bathroom with what was basically a long, skinny radiator cover. Looked very neat and the slats let the heat out which warmed the (small) bathroom very nicely.
