Hey, I am leaning towards staining the interior bricks of a loft instead of painting them because it seems like the upkeep on that is terrible. Anyone have any input on how to stain bricks yourself and the extent to which you can change the color? The bricks are currently a blah medium brown color but there is a huge discolored patch that is faded in parts to a light beige. Thanks for the input!
You should do a few tests to be sure you like the color. You may want to look at alcohol stains because you can get vivid bright colors. About upkeep, I think your’re talking about the bricks shedding. A clear coat of polly should help with that.
