There seems to be a rash of new construction bldgs waiting to be approved. No inspections, CofO’s (even temps) taking forever. A friend of our told us that there are only a couple of inspectors for Brooklyn and the glut of condos coming on the market is making things take longer.
We’ve been in contract on a place since February that looked done when we saw it the first time, but seems to be stuck in amber.
get outta my head! LOL! I was just thinking about that place last week. There is zilch going on (outside looking in). They still have a chainlink lock around the gate. I can’t imagine any resident standing for that if anyone has moved in. What’s the deal?
Yes, 2C is the great unit – i loved it too just couldn’t get past the terrace butting up against the abandon building in the back with the fireescape that dropped right down on to the deck. We bid lower than asking and never received a return phone call. Hmph! Would love to know how that place is going. congrats to all buyers. the bldg looks great.
Wow this is a throw back for us… when we started looking to buy a place last Sept we were interested in, if I recall correctly, unit 2C the one with the big terrace/roof. We ended up in Ditmas Park with a massive old house for less than 2C was going for but man I loved that apartment. I hope your closing happens soon & that you are very happy there!
