Locksmith Recommendation?
This has been asked and answered before but not in awhile, so I thought I’d throw the question out there again: Can anyone recommend a good locksmith to do basic work, i.e. replace a front door lock? Thanks so much!

I have to disagree with the review on All Security. I found Roger to be a great help, he actually saved me money. I found them via a search on Google.
I have found Matthew at All Brooklyn Locksmiths to be wonderful. So is Tony, the owner/dispatcher. They’re at 718.826.2800.
DO NOT USE ALL SECURITY. I spent 4 Saturdays of my life (whole days) waiting for his guys to do various jobs for me after I bought my building, which they did at very high prices and drove me up a wall. Roger, the owner and dispatcher, is a complete lunatic, sending the guys running to and fro all over Brooklyn with me waiting in an empty house wondering where they were and when they would come. Inevitably something was communicated incorrectly and forgotton and workers would drive away for 5 hours. Now that I know more I realize that the prices he charged me to aggravate me so were exhorbitant. The workers are good and do a decent job but the business is run like a total clown show and you will feel like the chief clown, expecially when you get the bill. Do a search. I don’t know how this guy stays in business.
I used All Security Locksmiths in Kensignton/Ft Hamilton Parkway area since the previous owner of my house also did. They are pricey and at times disagreeable.
I believe there are previous negative posts in the archives about them.

Ask for Arnold. I don’t remember the name of the company, but he’s based out of Manhattan and covers BK as well. Nice guy, experienced and affordable!
