I work for a church who just built a connecting hallway between two buildings. Unfortunately in the planning only one electrical outlet was installed. The lighting is dim and we are wanting to put antique style lampposts in the hallway. I have not been able to find any that are not wired. I would like to know if it is possible to rewire outdoor lampposts to make them batter operated. Or, if someone knows a more creative answer to the problem. We DEFINITELY are looking for the lampposts as it is part of a project that is turning this hallway into what we will call Main Street.
Is this outside? There are some beautiful solar powered lampposts available now.
No way a battery operated light is going to wrk unless you’re planning on changing them 10 times a day!
I imagine lampposts are quite expensive…the additional to wire them in couldn’t add too much?
Why not string a cable from post to post as they do in many places?
