Can a contractor install and test a new central a/c system in the cooler fall and winter months? I’m remembering my co-op’s plumbers being unable to do boiler maintenance work in the warmer months because they would not be able to test its effectiveness property. Same with central air in October or November?

  1. They can test the air handler and measure the cfm’s being delivered to each room in any weather. However, you may need to “comfort balance” the system under laod in the warm weather later on.
