Any advice for removing it? (Please skip the part where you call me a knucklehead.)
Likewise, a bit spilled on the tile grout on the floor (2″ hex, grout is a medium gray) and you can see, barely, the difference in a few places. Any way to remove the discoloration without having to score and regrout?
do a google search for a poultice. there are different ones you can mix up to take different stains out of marble. good luck.
The old-fashioned remedy for water rings on wood and minor marble stains is toothpaste. Just rub in small circles until the spot is gone. It’s a very gentle abrasive. Good luck.
From the Web:
Salty Grapefruit Stain Removal
Taking stains out of marble can be a pain, but this natural method seems to work quite well.
Spread salt on a cutting board
Cut one grapefruit in half and dip it into the salt
Rub the salty grapefruit onto the marble surface, making sure to rub with the grain, instead of against it
Wipe the marble surface with a damp cloth
Dry the marble surface
the stain will eventually sink into the marble and fade away. just be patient.
