Best place to purchase/Install Mr. Slim?
I have a two family brownstone, and am strongly considering getting a Mitsubishi Mr. Slim system. Anyone have some places they recommend to buy/install the unit? Places to avoid?

OP–freezing cold? Have you heard of the global warming problem?
Tim, this is Anon 3:54; how do the Mr. Slims work? We like the house freezing cold, just wondered how these units work at cooling the house. Also, approximately how much are the Mr. Slim units, installed and how do they compare in cost to run from the window a/c units. Thank you.
I’ve heard that high-velocity cooling systems like Spacepak can have noise problems (audible whistling). http://reviews.houseinprogress.net/archives/000646.html seems informative. We went with Mr. Slim split units, and I think they’re great (our installer isn’t independently in business any more, but I can give you his contact info if you e-mail me at tim@dierks.org). I agree that the fan units are visible and some might find them unattractive. I think we did a good job of keeping them out of the main sight lines in the house, so they don’t bother me that much.
I was looking into this for our limestone also, I also came across SpacePak. Have you checked this out? I haven’t looked into either one yet, but, the interior units of the Mr. Slim look pretty big, and I don’t think I’d like the way they look with all of our nice details. Here’s the link to Spacepak. http://www.spacepak.com/html/spacepak_flexible_tubing.asp
