I had a new shinge roof put on my house last year. A few months later I had to have one end of my house raised up because it was cracking my brick wall. This year my roof has started leaking. Could raising the roof cause this leak?

  1. It was raised about 7-8 inches. The outside wall had pretty big cracks and were there before the roof was shingled. The roof did not leak until recently when we had very heavy rain. I just don’t know who to hold responsible, the roofer or the contractor who done the other work, or if it is just my problem.

  2. It seems odd, but how much did you have to raise your house? I suppose if raised enough the crticial areas where the roof gets flashed could lose its seal and with heavy rains: leaks.
