I’m renovating my bathroom and have several damaged original tiles. I’ve scoured NYC and the internet and cannot find this particular color of crazed subway tile. custom is expensive and taking out damaged tiles to replace them risks damaging other tiles.
A restorer mentioned finding a painter who does faux painting. He said they would just paint on the plaster in the few broken areas and voila.
Does anyone know anyone who does this?

Is it that cream crackle tile that’s in so many NYC bathrooms? You can get replacements of those at Olde Good Things. (Had a bitch finding those myself…)
