Bedford-Stuyvesant Rezoning Proposal

The Department of City Planning announced a proposal to rezone all of the area south of Gates Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant. The new zoning would be a significant change from the relatively simple zoning structure that exists today by lowering the density on areas primarily in the middle of the blocks, and by increasing the density along many of the avenues and most significantly on Fulton Street. The proposal will affect the ability to develop certain properties, and will affect property values differently, depending on where they are located.
