Looking to do Brownstone Stoop.
Anyone ever use A. Malek to repair their Brownstone stoop? I’d like to hear from someone who has had the work done at least 4-5 years ago. How does it look now? Is it still holding up? I know price varies depending on the size etc but would like an idea of his cost.
Any information you give is appreciated.
Thank you.
has anyone used “the brownstone authority” for stoop refinishing
i bought a building a few years ago and the stoop is flaking away.
he says it nees to be totally redone.
Does anyone have a phone number for “Across the River Brownstone Inc” in New Jersey? They did my neighbors steps and it looks great. I can’t find a good phone number for them on the net.
$7500 whoa…that is not just pricy that is ripp-off..i’d say call D&H Contracting, 7184145363. If you dont believe me call them and ask them for the price along with description of how they will perform their work and what are the safetly measure they will take to complete this project by then i think you will realize the difference between the price and D&H.
Ok, I got an estimate from Malek for $7500. My stopp has about 10-11 steps and is maybe 5 feet wide. I could be off on the measurements but typical Bedford Stuyvesant brownstone stoop. Does $7500 sound a little pricy? Can someone who has had their stoop reconstructed lately please respond. I don’t want to get ripped off so I just want some idea of price. I know I can get it done cheaper by others but I want someone reputible.
Thanks,
Thanks, I’ll get estimates.
Malek, Xunco (Newark), Everlast (Red Hook (Brooklyn)), Saenrra (Newark, again!) ALL do very good long-lasting brownstone work (at various costs). I like Mike Romeo at Everlast.
Malek is fine, and has been around a long time. There are a handful of good people out there so you should compare for yourself on who you feel comfortable with. He did a sidewalk for me, and did a good job. My stoop was done by Xunco, and didn’t start to show real wear for over ten years. They are in Newark.
