Under counter water filters
Looking for an under-counter water filter system with a faucet included. I know of a couple of brands (Aquapure, Aquasana) but I need to pick one up locally because my granite counter is being templated and I need the exact hole size! Looking for an under-counter water filter system with a faucet included. I know of a couple of brands (Aquapure, Aquasana) but I need to pick one up locally because my granite counter is being templated and I need the exact hole size! Anyone have any advice to which is best, has a decent-looking faucet, and where I can get it in Brooklyn? Thanks!
i love the undercounter one i got from Culligan for less than $100 and it has a great looking stainless steel faucet that just happens to match my Grohe faucet. Check Consumer Reports. It’s one of the top three. The Kenmore one has an ugly white faucet, so I didn’t get it.
I’m pretty happy with my InSinkErator filtered & instant-hot model, as seen here: http://www.insinkerator.com/isejsp/product/product.jsp?id=24&template=hwd
The plumbing supply store on 5th Avenue on the corner of Prospect Avenue in Park Slope also has a selection of under counter filters with faucets. They have a very high-end kitchen faucet where the filtered water comes out the same faucet as the regular water, made by Franke that’s about $1,000 that we bought. If those faucets are not at the plumbing supply, they’re definitely at the same owner’s kitchen design place across the street, down Prospect Avenue a bit, called Park Slope Kitchen Gallery.
I like the Aquapure models.
The AP110 is a good all-purpose filter cartridge and is available in lots of places like Davis & Warshow on Coney Island Ave and Ave J, and probably also AF Supply on Lafayette Ave.
I’ve seen GE filters at Home Depot.
