I am sick of having cold feet! I live on the first floor of my house and since my basement is cold, the floor on the first floor is always cold too.
I’ve decided to tear down the ceiling that is up there and insulate throughly and then replace the ceiling.
Can anyone offer any advice on materials or techniques? Such as what kind of insulation, craft faced or otherwise.
If it helps, the house is a new construction with gas fired, hot water baseboard heating. The joists are 12″ high. The subfloor is 3/4″ plywood with 3/4″ hardwood flooring.
