Recently purchased a 4 story Brownstone which is in desperate need of new windows. In total I need about 20 windows. I just got a estimate from Sears for vinyl replacements which came to a total of 20K!!! Understandably stunned by the figure, are there any recommendations as to any other companies which might be cheaper without getting crap windows, or am I facing the unavoidable….suggestios greatly appreciated

  3. Sears is definitely over priced and I must say the quality of the product is very low. My family has been in the window manufacturing business and I am pretty knowledgeable about the specs of every type of window if you have any questions or if you are still in search for a good price feel free to contact me Danny@vanderbiltwindowcorp.com

  4. I would not recommend vinyl average life of
vinyl is 7 years. call your lacal renewal by Anderen their windows are gauranteed for life there is no color fading, and each replacement window is manufactured in their plant in Minnisota where they have been for the past 104 years. the fit and finish is much nicer and more durable than those windows that are mass produced and ordered through a catalog. Buy once and you’ll never have to buy again,

  5. Sears is way over priced. we used fiberama on macdonald avenue and have a good exeperience. sears quoted 700 a window, fiberarma was 180 (keeps getting cheaper the more windows you order

  6. Yes I used windows factory for my rental apartment
and it didn’t cost half as much as Sears. Only thing when u get windows done there’s different quality. I wouldn’t reccomend using Sears. There over priced….

  7. my sister -in-law just has 22 windows changed in her brownstone in brooklyn . she used U.S WINDOW FACTORY . The windows were all oversized as most brownstone windows . she paid 12 k installed . with a 30 yr waranty
