Has anyone heard of Power Exprees? Have you done business with them? They seem to have “too good to be true” rates and want to hear from someone who has used them for a mortgage before I apply. Thanks!

  1. I RECENTLY CLOSED A LOAN WITH POWER EXPRESS THAT ALL THE BIG BANKS REFUSED TO DO. IT WAS JUMBO FOR 1.5MILLION WITH STATED INCOME.
MY LOAN OFFICER AT POWER EXPRESS GAVE ME A 5 YR ADJ FOR 5.25%. UNBELIEVABLE

  2. I am aware of Power Express Mortgage Bankers. They have an office on Ave N in Brooklyn as well as some other locations in NY and other states that I’ve never dealt with.

My advice is that when you speak with anyone from that firm you get any and all promises and statements in writing. Also have a good attorney in case the numbers magically change (for the worse) at closing. Be careful.

  3. I am getting back to this forum because I had just closed on my 2nd home with Power express. I was dealing with Robert Y, I dont have the exact spelling of his last name, but I have closed with better rate than was offered to me in the beggining. And he was competing against, a broker and Washington Mutual. What I liked best is that I received a call few days prior to my closing telling me my final numbers. and I came to see exactly what I was told.
Just thought I’d share my experience.888-541-7283

  4. OP here. Thanks for the insight. I thought it was too good to be true. Exact same experience as you had … great rate on the phone but thought it didn’t sound right … almost half a percentage point below what I thought was the “market rate.” Anyway, if there are others out there, I would love to hear from you as well. Thanks.

  5. i had a big problem with them. they offered me a great rate but said it could change at anytime. they then convinced me to do a “lock in” to hold the rate but they charged me 1 pt UPFRONT to do it, which i later found out was unheard of. my loan officer made a lot of promises on the phone that when it came time to the mortgage was not the case. i would not recommend them unless your credit is below average and you cant get a loan elsewhere.
