What to burn in wood burning stove?

We have a wood burning stove/fireplace, and are looking for recommendations for wood or pellets…we were advised not to buy the firewood at the corner bodegas, as that wood is too dry, not seasoned, too smoky, etc. Can anyone recommend a place in PS, BH, Cobble Hill, etc., that either delivers or is easy to pick up from? Do you have a stove or a fireplace? Dried wood will burn very, very quickly in a fireplace but much slower in a stove because the amount of air is not controlled in the open fireplace. I have a wood-burning stove and burn dried wood. Pellets are not so good unless you have a hopper to feed them automatically.
