I am looking to replace the old wood windows in my co op apt, and the coop says that it requires the windows to be the same colors as the current wood ones, which are black. Talking to the window company (Bay Ridge Windows) it seems that the standard for aluminum windows is bronze and that black is a special order and will take a few more weeks. Before I go and ask my coop does anyone have any experience with this? Will the bronze windows pass as black? Any input? Thanks

  1. you should make sure that your coop will allow you to replace wood windows with aluminum. If you are in a landmark area you will need to rplace them with wood,

  2. There is a definite difference between the two. Bronze is really “dark Brown” in my opinion but you can totally see the difference.

You will not get away with Bronze if its supposed to be black.
