I have an intercom box (Talk/Listen/Door buttons) in my apt that is a bit old and large (sticks out from the wall a few inches). I would like to replace it with a new smaller one, which looks pretty simple to me, seems there are just 4 wires that need to be reconnected. But, I dont know where to buy one of these? The one I have now is a Lee Dan model. I am in Park Slope, anyone know where I can buy one of these replacement boxes for my apt? Thanks.
if you can, switch to nutone! we bought lee dan from liberty electric and it’s been a disaster. they were awful to deal with as well as the electrian who installed it…we’re now going with a nutone system and looking for a new electrician…
Pintchiks sells them but I got one at Home Depot for MUCH cheaper.
There’s an electric shop on Union between 3rd + 4th avenues that has all that stuff. Make sure you write down what kind of Lee Dan model you currently have.
