Stained Glass Skylights
We would like to upgrade the stained glass skylight above the staircase in our brownstone, can anyone recommend a place to find nice looking stained glass for a skylight? I second the comment on Albert Stained Glass. We discovered a stained glass skylight by putting a pick ax through it during roof repairs. Albert restored it, and I can’t even tell which panel is the new one. We installed the glass in a panel between rooms, so it is no longer serving as a skylight.
Try my friend Kathy. She is a real artist. Her shop is on Long Island but she lives in Park Slope. I belive she will come to you. Lots of samples on her website. Her e-mail is: kathy@cvglassart.com
Check out Albert’s Stained Glass on St. Marks in Prospect Heights. He’s a veteran restorer of stained glass and other antique glass. (He repaired 2 stained glass skylights for me and did an awesome job). Although I know he makes and sells gorgeous tained glass panels by commission, he may also have panels already on hand in his shop for sale. http://www.albertstainedglass.com
Crystal Vetro on 3rd Ave [bt 14th and 13th street in Brooklyn] will make the stain glass panel for your skylight. But for actual hip vent od fashion skylight call Metro Restoration at 718-521-1435
I should have mentioned the reason we are upgrading: what is here looks like its from Home Depot (we arent selling, its not worth anything!). I will check out he place on 5th in PS. Thanks!
Are you selling your current stained glass skylight? I am missing mine and am looking for an antique looking one to fit my style but not too expensive.

Isn’t there a stained glass artisan storefront on fifth in Park Slope? Maybe around 1st St? Never been there but walk by it all the time.
