My brownstone was painted by the previous owner and moisture has begun to build up between the paint and the stone. The stone has begun to deteriorate in some areas. Several of you have mentioned Silin by Cathedral Stone as a relatively inexpensive option for refacing a brownstone. Wondering if anyone can give me the address of a brownstone or two (preferably in Brooklyn) that have used this product so I can walk by and have a look. Thanks.

  1. Anyone ever hear of Liquid Vinyl Paint?? Supposedly looks just like paint but is Breathable and has “vinyl siding like” protection. Liqua-coat its called. Had an estimate for $12,000 to do one wall with 30 year warranty.
