Home is Where the Hearth is!

I’ve worked on many old houses over the years. I often wondered what the original kitchen would have looked like. Imagine my surprise in seeing this original coal & wood stove still sitting in it’s original place for the last 150 years! It sits in the hearth in the back garden floor. From the basement there is a great deal of extra support holding the monster stove in place. The new owners like it too and plan to leave it right where it is. It’s a neat relic of the way things use to be.
