Any recommendations on a company that installs Mr. Slim units in brownstones. Plus I like to hear any stories from anyone concerning how well it works. How long it took to install. Did it work well over this extreme heat this summer, etc. etc. And of course estimated costs. Thanks in advance

  1. We used Weston a/c guys out of forest hills. Michael Weston himself came over and took all the measurements, worked with my wife and I through all the details and exactly what we wanted.

    Their website : http://www.getcool.com/

It was not cheap – we got A/C units in each room in the first floor and a large unit for the parlor floor.

Our friends who have a brownstone loved the job so much that they used the same guys to do their job in Jersey City. Weston did an equally impressive job – friendly, fast, and clean in their installations.

I looked around quite a bit and had several proposals but Weston was the right balance in terms of time, price, etc. Having written this, you should definitely look around and get multiple quotes to come to your own conclusion.

One place to start is the MrSlim website itself. If you just put in your information, Mitsubishi will refer your request out and you will get multiple calls from installers who will come and give you estimates.

  2. I am planning on putting one in every room. I plan on turning part of my cellar into a rec room so i need one in the cellar. Then the ground floor and the parlor floor I plan on putting one in each room

  3. Can you describe the configuraion you’re planning to use? Are you putting one Slim unit in each room (I’m assuming a typical brownstone), because seems to me it’s less intrusive putting one unit per floor in the middle, but am told that won’t work.

  4. I’ve had mine for 5 years and love it! No worries, extremely low maintanence, very quiet and efficient. Best thing I ever did was getting rid of the window a/c and installing the MRslim.
