I wonder if anyone can help with this. I bought two marble fireplaces (in pieces). I would like to have them installed safely. They will be only decorative. I want to make sure they are installed safely and expertly by a professional who isn’t going to soak me. Any recommendations? Any ideas on price? Thanks.

  1. I have not used him, but this guy did a beautiful job in my friend’s brownstone:

    Tom Lindblum 718-829-5900.

He removed their entire large marble fireplace, cleaned and repaired it, and then reinstalled the whole thing.

  2. you can get good pea stone at a place called structural stone in NJ.
or Bissetts on Long Isand exit 50.

they will deliver, but can be expensive.
if you can pick-up, it’s much cheaper and better than anything in the city.
