Anyway, all my contractor can come up with (better than me) is the white wire Rubbermaid set which has shelves and a double
pole arrangement. I don’t like this. Among the reasons are that the shelves are very shallow and I really would prefer some kind of traditional pole (steel) and shelf arrangement made of wood. My contractor and I are getting to the the end of my renovation; if this were a novel, it would be WAR and PEACE and we are both exhausted and sick of the whole thing. I wonder if there is a carpenter out there who can do some simple but sturdy interior of a closet, who is reasonable and good. I am not interested in buying white pressboard sets from Home Depot or having an expensive custom thing. Does anyone have any ideas?
The Elfa system is great. Many options for depth and accessories. The wooden frames for additional cost actually dress it up very well. They’re having the 30% off sale this month.
i love container store’s approach to elfa! they will help you design it… they’ll deliver it, give you full directions how to install etc etc… and if you change your mind, they’ll take returns (even on the cut-up pieces!)!!!!
I second easyclosets – if you are even the tiniest bit handy, they will be easy to install yourself – or pay your contractor to install what you design.
Compromise- try easyclosets
