I got my knobs and pulls for a new closet at “The Knobbery” on 3rd ave – it was recommended by my contractor. The knobs were gorgeous but the people who work there could not have been more difficult. The owner (Amit) is the only person in the store who seems to know anything about knobs or customer service, and he is rarely around. Everyone else there is an amateur in every sense. Additionally, because of problems with my order, I needed to return to the store at least 8 times – mostly due to their constant screw-ups. Next time I need a knob I’ll go elsewhere.
the thing is, we should not have to deal with amit only in order to get adequate service — the other people who work at the store should have some clue about the products, know how to take people’s orders (without messing them up) and should also have basic customer services skills. amit should hire a new staff and he’d be the best shop in town.
Hmm.. Maybe those who think their items showed up late, don’t quite understand the business. When a vendor ships is out of our control. Based on experience, we quote a suitable shipping ETA. And as far as voicing your concerns, anyone who knows and frequents the Knobbery, will know that we will bend backwards to help and serve our customers. I know personally Amit does and a customer doesn’t have to go far to ask directly to deal with him. Try getting that at rejuvenation.com
I find it interesting that two months after the original post, 4 positive comments were posted in the same day. I also had a negative experience at the Knobbery — slow service, salesperson forgot to write down the exact items I wanted and only called days later to confirm, items arrived later than promised and weren’t shipped directly to me as requested. Next time I’ll try rejuvenation.com.
I read the comments above and did not have a negative experience at Knobbery. It took time for the sales people to give me prices but they explained to me that each and every knob has a different price based on finish, size, etc. There are many details that determine price and the sales rep researched my queries thoroughly, it was worth the wait. I received my order in a timely manner and was even extended a discount. I would recommend knobbery.com and have. I have nothing but praise for this company. They go out of their way to get the job done, if that takes a little more time than the average store like Lowes or Simons, it is worth it.
I love the service I got at Knobbery.com. I found Patricia and Ameet to be knowledgable and professional. I had to change my order several times and they were patient and understanding about the “stress” I was experiencing trying to manage the multitude of details that goes with restyling my home. They went out of their way to make it less stressful. So, not only did I receive a superior product, I also got excellent customer service that went beyond the call of duty. I would recommend Knobbery.com to anyone who asked.
It’s unfortunate that some people have had a bad experience at Knobbery.com. I have used Knobbery and can only say that I was very satisfied with the products and the customer service. Ameet and Patricia were both very helpful. Patricia patiently narrowed down my choices so that I was able to choose just the right handles and went out of her way to get me all the information I requested.
I’m very surprised to hear that some folks had a bad experience at Knobbery.com. My experience however, was very good. Patricia the manager there was very helpful and professional. I even sent the owner Ameet an email stating how pleased I was with the service and the product. Their selection is wonderful and unique and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I’ve been to Simon’s and there I had a terrible experience. No one was willing to give me the attention that I got at Knobbery. I guess every business has bad days.
We had a horrible experience as well. Wrong order shipped/ordered. Then we decided to keep one of the wrong ones because of time contraints, they attempted collect a 25% restocking fee because we “cancelled” the orignal order. Time frame given was never right. Amit is the only one to deal with, if you are going to go there, the others really don’t know what they are doing.
I also found the staff to be not so knowledgeable and extremely slow.
