Does anyone know where to get inexpensive (tasteful)doorknobs? I’m replacing the whole house so I can’t afford to spend $60 per door. They are mostly new doors. The few older doors have the original knobs. Time is an issue, so I’d rather not have to adapt antique hardware. Thanks.

  1. ebay

google “historic reproduction hardware” for more. Go online, anything in NYC (ie Olde Goode Things) costs a fortune.

  2. I bought some at a place on McDonald called Decoware near Shoprite. Large selection. Best prices. But I am curious about knobbery since I have passed it so many times…

  3. Also check out outwater.com and vandykes.com. Both are catalogs and on line stores selling reproductions. For that matter, both print catalogs as well worth getting for all manner of house and renovation items.

  4. Hmm?????? Cheap & tasteful ?? That may be hard to do. I guess I would check out Lowe’s. Maybe they have something that’s okay for about $20 per set. There is a place I’ve used near Lowes called Knobbery. They have a really large selection. Check them out too.
