Does anyone know about paint on the stone in the entrance under the stoop? At our place this was painted a long time ago and the paint is peeling. Given possible lead paint concerns we feel like we have 2 options – remove the paint or paint over it. If painting over, is there any issue with it stopping the stone from ‘breathing’? Should we use special paint? If removing, what is the best method?
PS I am sure I allowed comments last time…
PPS What about paint on stone walls of cellar – good or bad?
That is true and old school all right, but you should mix white portland cement with lime half and half.
Apply diluted white cement with a brush (white wash)that helps and don’t damage.Old school
