I, too, am a skeptic when it comes to contractors, and having had bad experences, I researched a number of people.

We finally decided upon Nick Kontzamanis. He was a little more money, but worth it. His crew was top-notch, fast, and I warned them they had to not scuff a single wall. They did both the top roof and the extension roof of our brownstone. Everything was completed to our satisfaction.

Strange feeling to be so pleased with someone’s work. I highly recommend his firm.

  2. I have to address all the skeptics that Nick is the real deal. He came by my brownstone a few weeks ago and told me what was causing the leak in my top floor apartment and was nice enough to give me some sealant to fix the problem. It rained today and there were no leaks!! I am so happy. Especially since the roofer that came before him told me a needed a brand new roof. These roofers will take you for your money but Nick is honest and when I do need to get a new roof in a few years I am definetly going to use him. Plus it is cool that he posts those helpful hints. Nick is lining himself up for a TV show on HGTV one day!!

  3. This is a responce to the ANONYMOUS person that just questioned my credability and motive in the previous comment.

    A client of mine who reads and comments on this forum every day, suggested that I post something about tear offs on Flat Roofs on this forum.

    He had several other estimates from roofing contractors and NONE of them were able to answer his questions about tear offs adequately. I did so.

    He along with many other clients of mine are most appreciative of my knolegable posts on this forum.

    If you ever had the chance to see how professional we at Leak Master Roofing are, (starting from inpections, politeness, neetness, quiet and the absolute MOST BEAUTIFUL finished product)I guarantee you you would want to recomend us also.

    Unfortunately (just like the person who just accused me in the previous comment of being suspicious (YOU) like the vast majority of the people who post or leave comments on this ENTIRE forum, do not leave an email adress.

    What is most suspicious to me, is that I am the only one who has been singled out as being suspect of any wrong doing.

    I do so many Flat Roofs in Park Slope, Prospect Hieghts, Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn Hieghts and all over Brooklyn.
    Many of my clients read and participate this forum every day.

    If they’re so satisfied with my work and profesionalism, that they wish to share it on the very forum that they frequent. Why blame me???

  7. nick and his crew just put a flat roof on my brownstone last weekend. they were pleasant, professional and very prompt. i recommend them highly.
