Paint to Imitate Limestone
We want to paint our brownstone facade to imitate limestone. The Pacific and Bejamin Moore samples we put up are showning up too green. Any suggestions?

I just posted this for another question about painting a brownstone, but the same goes for limestone.
We just patched our brownstone and tested an area with a really great type of paint that someone else from this forum hipped us to. It is called Silin mineral coating only available through Cathedral Stone Products (cathedralstone.com). It actually bonds with the substrate and allows the stone to take moisture in and out as it does naturally. So the paint literally will never peel. And they have colors that look like natural brownstone. The stone cannot have latex or oil paint on it already though. It is a little pricier than normal paint, but not much, and the spot we tested looks amazing! I think patching and using this paint might be the best decision we have made in our entire renovation.
This paint is pretty amazing. It allows stone to look like stone, while providing a new rich and consistent color.
would like to do that with ours… but we’re in a landmarked district…
we vetted eight comapnies and went for all star moving and storage — they were fantastic. We have moved apartment in manahattan many times and were unhappy each time. For our big move out to a house in Bed Stuy we really did our homework.
All Star are without peer.
