We are looking to renovate three bathrooms in our brownstone. Can anyone recommend a good wholesale tile distributor? Are wholesale tile
distributors generally materially cheaper than say a Home Depot? Any other recommendations (wholesale or otherwise) for reasonably priced tiles, bath tubs, fixtures, etc. would be appreciated as well.

  1. I am looking for a wholesale supplier of tiles for a short time. I was recommended to buy it on marketplace globy.com. did the cat order from it? or recommend other places please

  2. Find someone, like a contractor friend to buy the tile for you and get it for wholesale. Bella tile for example, specializes in American Olean Brand but the wholesale office is actually right in Brooklyn behind the Home depot on Fort Hamilton. Also once a year places like Country Floors in Manhattan have warehouse sales. I have bought cases of tile this way at great savings. If you are just looking for white 4×4 tile you can go just about anywhere. But buyer beware, not all tile is the same quality. especially the glaze. Buy American if you can afford it, you will see the difference in the opacity of the white.

  3. I bought my tile from Classic Tile on 86th St. & 15th Ave. in Brooklyn. The best part is they will take back if you overbuy… Lots of places won’t.

  4. After shopping tile for a bit, we got most of our tile from Tillary Tile next to the Manhattan bridge and Sino on the Bowery (they have a bigger warehouse in Sunset Park).
