Replacement for Iron Fireplace Grate
i’ve salvaged a marble fireplace with the iron surround (or whatever it’s called). it’s all intact except for the center iron grate. on the back of the fireplace surround is “S S BENT, 412 EAST 26 ST NY NO 246”. any ideas where i might be able to get a replacement? i’ve checked out some…
i’ve salvaged a marble fireplace with the iron surround (or whatever it’s called). it’s all intact except for the center iron grate. on the back of the fireplace surround is “S S BENT, 412 EAST 26 ST NY NO 246”. any ideas where i might be able to get a replacement? i’ve checked out some of the links on this site, but i don’t know the proper name of what i’m looking for. i’ve attached a pic of the metalwork below.
Another vote for Eddie’s – haven’t been there in a while but last I visited he had loads of square shaped fireplace inserts (unfortunately I needed rounded top). FYI, I ended up finding mine on eBay by searching for “fireplace summer cover”.
