I live in a typical 21X45 brownstone, and I need a new roof. Kamal Construction (which has done several complete browstone refacings on our block, all quite nicely) quoted me $2000 for a “regular” roof and $2800 for a rubber roof. Questions:

— Is a rubber roof better? Why?
— Does $2800 sound like a decent price for a rubber roof?
— Anyone have any experience with Kamal?

I’m inclined to pay Kamal the $2800. Sounds like a fair price, and seems like he does good work. Just wanted to make sure I’m not getting taken for a ride…

  1. I’ve managed to save up roughly $77708 in my bank account, but I’m not sure if I should buy a house or not. Do you think the market is stable or do you think that home prices will decrease by a lot?

  2. you can get a rubber roof for 1,600 by a guy named Freddy. Lives right across the street from me. Nice guy, hard worker…does a beautiful job. 718-443-7840
