We are considering Venetian stucco (waxed and burnished) in our bathroom for all walls including those around the clawfoot tub/shower (no tile). We will not be showering in there very often (prefer daily bath). Think it will hold up? Would we be better off with a coat of poly over the stucco instead of wax? Or is this idea just not feasible?

  1. I have never worked with venetian plaster jobs but will tell you that if the finish is not completely water/moisture-proof, YOU WILL have issues in a bathroom.
