A reader sent in this photo of the project at 314 12th Street, which has been under development since 2008. (We covered it back when it was a hole in the ground!) Since then the building has been bogged down by quite a few DOB violations, including a current Partial SWO. Our tipster believed they were in the process of removing an illegal mezzanine. Anyone know if there’s any truth to that?

That’s unfortunate. Based on the streetview, it looks like this block has a few really nice houses.
No, no it does not. And the apartment building next to it is no star either. The one on the other side tries hard to class up the joint with a fancy gate, but it doesn’t quite work.
