Now You See 'Em, Now You Don't
Bruce might not give a rat’s ass about preserving the old buildings in the Atlantic Yards footprint, but clearly someone on the team recognizes the value of their parts. Based on these photos sent in by a tipster, someone made off with a set of beautiful original entry doors this week!

The hideous door on the right is identical to ours. Even the paint color is the same.
If anyone is serious, I have some contacts at Forest City, email me and I”ll see what I can do. At least they should get a salvage guy in there.
I need a cornice!
If anyone finds out who to call, please share the info!
m4l, move where though? Two apts will be for sale in fall and it will be very interesting price wise. One moved in 2006 and the other 2001.
one more thing: there was actually another set of doors behind this entry set, rounded at top like these, really gorgeous. so, 4 doors in total.
Delepp, time to move cause maintenance will be skyrocketing again to pay for them. at this rate, your maintenance will look like mine in no time
m4l, indeed. Just got estimates for first and parlor floor……jaw dropping.
holy smokes. I just took a pic of that set of doors for a friend who owns a townhouse in Carroll Gardens… was trying to figure out who we’d/he’d get in touch with to purchase.
As we walked by those last weekend my wife mentioned that she wanted to ask Ratner to give us those doors. Too late now!
