i pass it often
to me it looks ugly and cheap
i don’t even like the retail space that others seem to like
whats up with the middle eastern style windows?
i guess if its just for a bodega its fine
Patio’s are great, but i’m not sure i would want one right on Bedford avenue. Not like you could have a private conversation there
Not a bad looking building at all especially given the earlier example this morning. Could have been better if normal size windows were used on that side wall. Does anyone know why they would choose such “itsy-bitsy” windows? Not sure that is due to zoning or code.
All in all this is a grade B minus 🙂
Polemicist said it best, result of zoning law and also desire for retail space
i never saw this view – it’s odd, but on the street, the retail is nice.
“the itsy-bitsy windows on the upper floors make it look like a minimum-security HOD or a cold storage warehouse.”
yeah – i agree. this kinda reminds me of the building A&G Merch is in on N6th – but all it’s windows are large and looks better.

I can’t believe posters think this building looks good.
But I agree that it could be worse, the ground floor is OK.
I agree Ty…I think this building looks good. While I like brownstones, I don’t think everything needs to be replicated or to all be in a row so uniformly as long as they use good materials and try to add some elements of classic or modern design.
I think the setback looks quite nice and allows for a little more air and light on the corner. Plus that’s probably a pretty sweet rooftop deck.
Those upper two floors should have been fronting on Bedford…
Theres nothing like a nice beer billboard in the background to set the mood for your 2nd floor patio BBQ!!!!!
Maybe it has something to do with air rights?
