Forever ago, the lot bordered by Bedford, Berry, North Third, and North Fourth in Williamsburg was supposed to be a mega-development by Quadriad. It was since downsized and a more modest five story development popped up at 143 North 3rd Street at Bedford. Now a second building is nearing completion on the corner of at 197 Berry, at North 3rd Street. This is the first time we’ve seen it without scaffolding but it looks just like its neighbor over on Bedford. GMAP
Where are the 18″ balconies?
Looks cut off. Maybe that’s a sly architectural reference to the 20-story tower that they wanted to build here, but I suspect it’s really just that the architect can’t figure out how to terminate the building.
just give us back the freakin sidewalk!!
