A tipster forwarded along the news that Sabella’s Pizzaria, at 229 Prospect Park West, just sold. In its place will apparently be, maybe not surprisingly, a new pizza spot that’ll go by the name of La Piazza Pizza. For the aficionados out there, it’ll be a “Roman-Style Rostecceria.” GMAP

The reference to “Roman-Style Rostecceria” [sic] suggests that it won’t be your run-of-the-mill pizza shop but a more varied establishment. They are usually brighter and should be a plus although, compared to Sabella’s, anything is brighter. Let’s hope.
This is extremely old news. Sabellas sold earlier in the year and shut down completely about 3 or 4 months ago.
And Enzo’s Pizza sucks.

Hopefully it will be an improvement. Plenty of pizza around, but not much _good_ pizza.
