Come one come all to Kiddie Beach for a night of Official Sponsored Rockband Night. For those that don’t know…Think of Rock Band as karaoke but with an entire of your friends playing instruments! If you don’t have a large group you can still play! Anywhere from 1 to 4 can play. All are welcome! Friday, August 20. 7 p.m. Adults: $5. Kids: $2. Kiddie Beach.

Nostolgia Train
The New York Transit Museum is taking a few of its ‘exhibits’ out for a spin, offering an unforgettable adventure. Be sure not to miss this as the rail fleet travels to the Rockaways for day-long bus rides onboard the fleet of historic buses from the 1940s and 1950s. Both Nostalgia Train excursions will depart from the New York Transit Museum’s decommissioned Court Street subway station at the corner of Boerum Place and Schermerhorn Street in Brooklyn Heights. Saturday, August 21. 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Adults: $45; Children $20; Museum Members $30; and Children of Museum Members $15.

The Brooklyn Flea

The Flea is located not only at the former bank at One Hanson, but also at the Fort Greene market. On Saturdays, the market will be located at the Fort Greene location and on Sundays you can find the market at One Hanson which is located at the clocktower Art Deco building at Flatbush Ave., across from the Target mall. The Flea features 100 vendors and a great mix of vintage, antiques, jewelry, and food. Saturday & Sunday, August 21 & 22. 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Free. 176 Lafayette Avenue and 1 Hanson Place, Skylight One Hanson.

Wash Ave Rocks! Food, Fashion, and Fun
The block of Washington Avenue between St. Marks and Prospect Avenues will come alive with Brooklyn’s next top models showing off summer and the upcoming season’s new and funkiest trends. There will be a Taste-Off by several of Washington Avenue’s amazing restaurants for the best appetizer in Prospect Heights. You be the judge. Come and enjoy! Saturday, August 21. 12 p.m. – 6 p.m. Free.

Seining the River Wild
Find out what lives in the waters under the Manhattan Bridge! Join in as we use a 30-foot seining net to catch fish and other remarkable East River creatures. Families and kids can take a good look at the fish before they release them back to their homes and keep a tally of the catch. Saturday, August 21. 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. Free. Main Street, Beach under the Manhattan Bridge.

Free Waterfront Yoga Class

TF Cornerstone and The Yoga Room are hosting a free yoga class at the Gantry State Park followed by brunch provided by TF Cornerstone in the private courtyard of their building The View. Free yoga mats will be supplied by TF Cornerstone to the first 100 in attendance. Sunday, August 22. 9:15 a.m. – 10:15 p.m. Free. Pier 1 of Gantry State Park Plaza.
