Joloff Restaurant: 15th Anniversary Celebration
The Fulton Area Business (FAB) Alliance and Pratt Area Community
Council (PACC) are excited to announce the 15th Anniversary of Joloff

The Brooklyn Flea
The Flea is located not only at the former bank at One Hanson, but also at the Fort Greene market. On Saturdays, the market will be located at the Fort Greene location and on Sundays you can find the market at One Hanson which is located at the clocktower Art Deco building at Flatbush Ave., across from the Target mall. The Flea features 100 vendors and a great mix of vintage, antiques, jewelry, and food. Tour: Walt Whitman’s Fort Greene
The Fort Greene Park Conservancy, in partnership with the Walt Whitman Project, presents this walking tour of Fort Greene Park punctuated by performances of Whitman’s poems. The event starts at 1 p.m. on Sunday at the Visitors Center in the park and concludes at 99 Ryerson, the last existing residence of Whitman in Brooklyn. RSVP to 718-391-8824. Rain or shine.
Bridge Culture 2010: Russia
Brooklyn Bridge Park presents four weeks of free live performances representing both NYC and international communities. The cultures of Brooklyn, India, Russia, and Haiti will be celebrated through music, storytelling, and dance. This Saturday, Russian culture will be featured. All are welcome to attend. Rooftop Films: Greetings from the Woods
Greetings from the Woods makes much more than a series of beautiful images or a sentimental homage to a town. Karlsson’s film captures the distinctly Swedish character of the people of Varberg, while simultaneously communicating subtly transcendent truths about love, life, humanity, nature, and, most of all, the passage of time. Kayaking and Community Rowing
Get out on the water for kayaking and community rowing with the Gowanus Dredgers and the Village Community Boathouse at Main Street and the newly opened Pier 1! There is no need to sign up in advance; boating will be on a first-come, first-served basis. No training or prior experience is needed. Bring clothes you don’t mind getting wet, and shoes or sandals suitable for walking on a rocky beach. The only requirement is that you know how to swim. All equipment is provided free. Please note that there will be some variation in times due to tide conditions. Sunday, July 25. 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Free. Pier 1, DUMBO.
