Honey Bowl
Though Tu B’Av is a holiday mentioned in the Talmud, the Observance of this holiday holiday has only recently been revived — most notably in Israel — where it is celebrated as the Sephardic/Mediterranean/Hebrew/Ancient equivalent of Valentine’s Day, with dancing, the giving of red roses, and the dedication of love songs on the radio. The Honey Bowl will celebrate Tu B’Av in true Brooklyn Bowl fashion. The festival will commemorate the ancient Sephardic day of love with live music, dancing, drink specials and, of course, bowling. Event sponsor Jewish Event Guide NY Blueprint will give away free bowling in raffles held before the show and between sets. 18+ show. Tuesday, July 27. Doors at 6 p.m. Show at 7:30 p.m. $10. 61 Wythe Avenue, Brooklyn Bowl.
