Actually ‘starving’ oneself – that is living on an extreme calorie restriction is the most reliably known method of extending ones life expectancy.
Sorry, fsrq, I think most people would like to enjoy some of life’s pleasures while we are here, good food being one of them. And I’m just talking moderation, not pigging out. Who wants to live to 100 nibbling on only a lettuce leaf every day?
Will somebody please hit Marty with their car?

Not advocating it btw just saying.
and the Con Ed wall on 3rd is NOT being torn down – nor was it ever part of the Washington Park that the Dodgers played in – it was from the Federal League ball park.
Calling size 12 plus size is absurd.(Rob, you are only echoing what many people say) The fashion industry’s blindness to the majority of the women in this country is also absurd. If they really wanted to make money, they’d put a lot more attention and consideration into making stylish clothing for size 12 and above, considering the average size of people in this country is a 14 or 16.
And before the rants about gigantic obese women start, those sizes are for everyday women in this country. By the measurements used for sizing, which change based not on the standards of real people, but on vanity sizing, Marilyn Monroe at her sexiest prime, would be wearing a 12. Liv Tyler, who is also quite gorgeous today, is a 14.
Anorexic, heroin addict, stick insect women are not the norm, and that look is physically unattainable for most women in this country. Why we would literally kill ourselves to look like a statistical blip in the overall vast pool of body shapes, weights, heights, mass, build, etc, is one of society’s great mysteries.
rob, I’m sure he knows how to really work the system. You should join his party and feed off the crumbs.
rent too damn high guy pays the rent on his unemployed son’s east village apartment according to the article about him in today’s AM new york. he can’t be doing THAT bad.
plus he’s receiving benefits out the wazoo.
granted i do still agree with him that rents are too high. if NYC put a stop to domestic immigration from other states it wouldnt be a problem. only let people in nyc from Cali, New Jersey, and other parts of NYS and other countries, but dont let anymore people in from any of the other states.

Ugh, Sop the wall near Con Edison on 3rd Ave is being torn down. I never even know it was for the Dodgers, and I don’t give a rats ass either.
It was ugly and had no being….out with the old, and lets see something new and uglier there…….
rent to damn high guy will be on next season’s dancing with the stars
