In Bed-Stuy, a Tipping Point? [NYO]
Mopar–totally agree. I of course went to the article because of the headline, but really there isn’t any tipping point pointed to in the article at all. Its basically like, things suck and they haven’t changed price wise. But yes that does provide a good buying opportunity to whoever wants to help build the Bed Stuy community.
LOL!
if foxy brown beat me up i’d probably cum a little in my pants.

Rob, you’re undercutting her gangsta with that deaf angle. better retrack before she goes patrolling park slope looking to whoop you and take your pitt
i love female rappers, and foxy has always been one of my favorites. but you are right, there are not that many big mainstream female rappers anymore. they all kinda suck now and fake sing using autotune and stuff. blah.
and foxy was never considered R&B
she’s a good role model for the hearing impaired (im partially hearing impaired) as well. do you know she’s like almost totally deaf? that’s probably why her nosey neighbors are always thinking she’s shouting all the time, but it’s cuz she’s deaf, not cuz she’s being mean.

I’ve seen the same, mopar. The only unfortunate thing is that SOME owners are now slightly upside down, but not enough to be concerned about if they have no plans to sell. The great thing is that there are some good opportunities for buyers who are looking to settle down and live somewhere for a while, especially since it looks like there won’t be a big run up in prices anytime soon.
Not sure I understand that article on Bed Stuy. If they mean sales dropped off a cliff in 2008, and now sales are picking up slightly, and prices are more realistic than in 2008 and more affordable than other parts of the city, I guess that’s true.
Anyone notice how on this blog it seems like post-Lehmann, every time a poster said they bought a house, it was either in Park Slope or Bed Stuy? Coincidence I suppose.
Personally, I haven’t seen any prices decreases since 2008. Prices dropped dramatically at the beginning of the crash and have stayed there.
Is Foxy Brown still considered an “R&B Star” given she’s been on snooze for so long already. In general, it feels like there are a lot less “big” female rappers out there since the days when Foxy reigned
