Moe’s Bar is Closing [The Local]
Why not get rid of the dog, Heather?
You can keep the child 🙂
7andfive, you’ve obviously never been trapped in a house in bad weather with a small child and an ill-tempered dog. Perhaps if Moe’s delivered, they would still be in business?
I’m sad to see Moe’s go. I only went there a couple of times, but I liked it.
Heather-I’m sorry but I really don’t understand the need for people to bring their kids and pets everywhere. But that’s a different story.
Randoplh-I’ve never felt uncomfortable there and I actually really liked the music. And where in the hell are bartenders friendly in NYC?
A black midget lesbian bar sounds pretty awesome.
i don’t care if it was a black midget lesbian bar, it just wasn’t a fun or comfortable environment, shitty music and not very friendly bartenders.
But where will Homer go?
Moe’s kind of lost me when they told me my kid wasn’t welcome there at 4PM when it was empty. Aside from that, they were nice. But I like the Speakeasy more.
And, that girl that fell into the sidewalk? From reading the article, it becomes clear that she just walked into the hole and got her picture taken. To point out the danger — valid enough, but it didn’t exactly open under her feet. Am I splitting hairs?
“probably the only racially and economically integrated bar remaining”
True. Still kinda sucked. I prefer to get my dose of integration from the black folk at Frank’s. Also a good place to avoid the transplant mob at mullanes on football sunday.
