Dave its not the Carousel that will block the views…but the Dock Street building (20 plus stories) that will…
BTW I think the Carousel is great and I like the location.
“no matter what you do or say I am going to oppose it anyway…whatever it is I’m against”…from a Marx Bros movie…
There are a lot of people who don’t want any activity in the park but a passive park….I am not one of them.

Hey taxpayers! You ready?
“And its responsibilities are about to increase. Later this year, some homeowners whose houses are worth less than their mortgages can begin the process of refinancing through F.H.A. loans as part of the Obama administration’s effort to deal with the foreclosure crisis.”

Hey, Pete, maybe the defective balconies are actually amenities to the right buyer. You have a future in real estate sales.
Why is this carousel such a lightning rod? Why is a generous gift greeted not with grateful thanks but hostile and petulant refusal?
someone looking to get rid of rich relative to inherit or abusive spouse might be very interested in those balconies.
Will a “28 foot high” structure housing the carousel really blck views of the brooklyn Bridge??? Isn’t the Brooklyn bridge quite a bit higher than 28′????
The woman said some of her neighbors were trying to sell their apartments and were worried that a balcony deemed a safety hazard would not be attractive to potential buyers.
Ya think????
