When we peeked inside it looked like there was a lot of construction still to be done, but the storefront signage is promising organic foods, personal care products, a soda fountain and ice cream. Sounds cool to us!

Butternut will be opening in late August.
It does look like they are doing a nice job with the place. I really like the awning. The web site could be better. I wish them luck and will support them if they offer a good product. I hope they have a good offering of food items.
I wish they would do something with the storefront next door. I know Craig Samule of Peaches owns the building and I like to think he has plans for the place.
As for Butternut, I walk by and see them working, but I agree it does seem like it’s taking forever. The landlord also doesn’t seem to have even patched the roof – which seems like a bad idea considering rain, etc.
They were on the verge of opening and then there was a fire in the building.
Saw the sign in the window a little while back and was curious about what this would be. Sounds like a great addition to the Lewis Ave strip. Gotta love the fancy ice cream.
Anybody know what’s up with Butternut market? Entire industries launched and failed in the amount of time it’s taken these guys to open the door.
I was going to send this to you to look into. The website is tincityny.com.
