Cafe Shane, which took a long hiatus after it was shuttered by the DOH, is back open. The extended portion of the eatery – now named the ‘Shane Bar’ – was supposed to be open last Friday, but it is still under construction. When we passed by this weekend the place looked pretty full. Guess the unexpected closure didn’t deter business too much.

Hopefully they step up the menu. With that said, I’m glad to see them put in a bar. +1 for nightlife and use of space for other purposes than hair salons. Hoping to see at least a dozen more barber shops and hair salons fall off Washington this year.
Their grits are awful.
